Yamileth Flores-Reyes

(1993, Caguas Puerto Rico)

Artista multidiciplinaria, quien creció en Juncos Puerto Rico.

En 2017 completó un Bachillerato en Artes Plásticas, (BFA) con concentración en escultura y un menor en pintura de la Escuela de Artes Plásticas y Diseño de Puerto Rico. Cursó estudios conducentes a una Maestría en Artes Plásticas (MFA) con concentración en Cerámica en la Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, recinto de San Germán, de cual se graduó en 2025.

En 2021 el Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña adquiere la obra La escritura gangrenada. Desde 2012 ha participado de varias exhibiciones colectivas tanto en museos, galerías y espacios alternativos, dentro y fuera de Puerto Rico. Es cofundadora de Taller Malaquita, espacio de investigación multidisciplinario de las artes plásticas y visuales dirigido por mujeres artistas. En 2022 tuvo su primera muestra individual titulada “MACHIHEMBRAO: laboratorio de cuerpos” donde explora la dualidad que puede habitar un solo cuerpo y en 2023 su segunda muestra en el Museo de los Santos titulada “HABITAR EL FUEGO: Ánima Sola”. Para el 2025 abre su tercera muestra individual, Entre la tierra y la memoria en el espacio Unknown Society. Actualmente es profesora en los Departamentos de Escultura y Pintura en la Escuela de Artes Plásticas y Diseño de Puerto Rico.
